Wild Plant Medicine
An introduction to foraging and making your own medicine with wild plants.

Instruction and demonstrations
- What is plant medicine and how is it different from mainstream medicine?
- Safety foraging tips
- Preparing basic medicines: teas (infusions/decoctions), tinctures, extracts, infused oils, compresses and poultices
- Plant Walk: identifying wild plants (dress for the weather)

Medicine-making:
- make your own tincture with the wild plant of your choice—valued at $20
- make a styptic powder—valued at $10
Please dress for the weather. In case of heavy rain and/or thunderstorms we will have a Plant Talk (instead of a Plant Walk) indoors and I will harvest plants beforehand for medicine-making.
Instructor: Delena Rose Tsang, B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed
Delena has been a passionate gardener for over 25 years and has been foraging and making plant medicine for over 12 years. Her practice is guided by her Indigenous (Metis) culture as well as a scientific background (biology, ecology, plant intelligence). As an educator, Delena loves spending time with people on her and in in her garden.
