Wild Plant Cooking

Have you ever wished you knew more about edible wild plants? Would you like to be that person who can walk into a wild area and gather a meal? Did you know that wild plants are incredibly nutritious and contain a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, and medicine, and can provide the essential nutrients that are often missing from a modern Western diet?

Join Delena for a one-hour plant walk on her land, where we will identify and learn about the many wild plants that grow all around us. Plants, flowers, roots, berries, and even a few mushrooms will be included.  Sample some wild tea and dandelion coffee, rose petal and dandelion jelly, and a delicious wild green salad.

$75      10 am- 12 pm

This workshop includes:

·       Handout with information on all of the plants we discuss, harvesting tips (which part of the plant to use and when to harvest), recipes, and instructions for making herbal remedies.

·       Medicine-making: make a “Wild Greens” tincture and herb mixture to take home (valued at $22)

·       Special gift (valued at $10

Please dress for the weather. In case of heavy rain and/or thunderstorms, we will have a Plant Talk (instead of a Plant Walk) indoors, and I will harvest our plants beforehand for the cooking.

Kids/Teens are welcome. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Use the code KIDS10 at checkout to receive $10 off of the kids/teen ticket.
