Medicine-Making Intensive: Oils, Salves, Balms and Butters

This workshop is for those who want to experience making infused oil, salve, and natural beauty care.  Learn two methods for making medicinal infused oils, explore a variety of oil-based topical medicines and how to use each one, learn which herbs support skin health and healing, and explore ways to incorporate medicinal infused oils in your daily life.

$95      10 am-1 pm

Supplies, light snacks and beverages provided.

Workshop includes:

• Hand-out with recipes
• Instruction and demonstration: infused oils, salve, balms, butters and lotion bars.
• Medicine-making:
  • one 50 mL jar of infused oil
  • ~75 mL total  salve (in either six 0.5 oz tins or three 1 oz tins)
  • ~8 tubes of lip balm
  • Group project: lotion bars. Everyone will receive one 1-oz lotion bar to take home (valued at $10)
  • Altogether, the products that you make and take home are valued at over $130.
