In this fun and interactive workshop, you will learn about six healing plants—yarrow, plantain, peppermint, lavender, chamomile, and ginger—and how to use them in infused oils, salve, styptic powder, teas/infusions, poultices, and compresses.
Learn how to use your Herbal First Aid Kit to treat minor injuries, such as bleeding, cuts and scrapes, bruises, burns (including sunburn), cramping, insect bites, muscle and joint sprains, nausea, fever, headache, stye, and calming down after a minor accident. Come and roll up your sleeves and assemble your own Herbal First Aid Kit to take home!
This workshop includes:
· Handout with instructions on how to use the items in your kit
· Additional information on treating minor injuries with herbal remedies
· Demonstration on basic "herbal first aid" and how to use each item in the kit
· Sampling of two teas, including ginger syrup
· Make your own infused oil (valued at $15)
· Make your own styptic powder (valued at $8)
· Make your own peppermint tincture/extract (valued at $20)
· Everything you need to assemble the rest of your Herbal First Aid Kit, including
Band-Aids, plantain salve (valued at $8), bottle dropper, roller bottle, funnel,

Delena has been studying natural health and herbology, making plant medicine, and making/selling her own natural body care products for over 14 years. Her practice is guided by her Indigenous (Metis) culture and scientific background (biology, ecology, plant intelligence). As an educator, Delena loves spending time with people on her land, in her garden, and in her kitchen.
