Plant Medicine for Mental Health & Wellness

11 am—2 pm.  on Pigeon Lake

Today, we live in a world that moves faster and makes more demands on our time and energy than ever before. This leaves many of us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stressed out, anxious or depressed. In this workshop, we will explore how environmental toxins, screen time, seasonal changes, hormonal fluctuations, sleep quality, stress, and gut health all impact our mental health. We will explore the science behind natural remedies and plant medicine: how and why they work, and which herbs to use. Finally, we will spend time tasting and making medicine that is designed to support, enhance and uplift your mental health and wellbeing.

This workshop includes:

·       Handout with all of the information and recipes covered in this workshop

·       Instruction and demonstrations

o   What is plant medicine and how is it different from mainstream medicine?

o   Preparing basic medicines: teas (infusions/decoctions), tinctures, extracts, infused oils, compresses and poultices

·       Medicine-making: make your own tincture, infused oil and tea blend (valued at $40)

·       Free gift from Delena (valued at $8)

Kids/Teens are welcome to sign up. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Use the code KIDS10 at checkout to receive $10 off of the kids/teen ticket (email me if you are registering more than one child).
