Plant Walk:  & Medicinal Survival Plants

2.5-hour workshop on the NW shore of Pigeon Lake. $45

Group size limited to 10 participants

Have you ever wished you knew more about edible wild plants? Would you like to be that person who can walk into a wild area and gather a meal? Did you know that wild plants are incredibly nutritious and contain a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, and medicine, and can provide the essential nutrients that are often missing from a modern Western diet?

Join Delena for a two-hour plant walk on her land, where we will identify and learn about the many wild plants that grow all around us. Plants, flowers, roots, berries, and even a few mushrooms will be included. Each participant will receive a handout with information on all of the plants we discuss, harvesting tips (which part of the plant to use and when to harvest), recipes, and instructions for making herbal remedies. Sample some wild tea and dandelion coffee, rose petal and dandelion jelly, and a delicious salad. Each participant will also receive the gift of healing salve (valued at $8).

Note: Please dress for the weather. If it is pouring rain Delena will bring in live plant samples the morning of the workshop and we will do a “Plant Talk.” People with rain gear can do a quick outdoor tour afterward.

Kids/Teens are welcome to sign up. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Use the code KIDS10 at checkout to receive $10 off of the kids/teen ticket (email me if you are registering more than one child).
