Drum Circle

 

Come and experience the power of drumming right here on Pigeon Lake, AB.

4pm-6pm

Optional potluck dinner afterward.

 

2-hour drop-in drum circle. No experience required. Drums provided (or bring your own drum).

 

Drumming has been used for thousands of years by cultures all around the world as a tool for communication, celebration, and personal expression. Recently, drumming—and drum circles—have been gaining popularity as a valuable part of an integrative and holistic approach to healing, recovery and wellness. In the past few years, scientific and medical research has shown the following benefits of drumming in clinical and social settings:

Kids/Teens are welcome. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Delena has been a musician since the age of twelve and has a wide variety of experience in performance, including vocal, church organist/pianist, trombonist with Festival City Winds, violist with TEMPO (The Edmonton Medical Professionals Orchestra), to name a few. Delena has studied music therapy and has used music extensively in most of her teaching career.
